They fell in love quickly, insanely quickly. There was something to be said for trying situations and something else for pressure. Later he would say it was love at first sight until she reminded him she’d hated him passionately for the first six hours of their acquaintance and had hated him before that merely from his reputation. Then of course there was the added attraction of forbidden love and the strongest military power on the seas attempting to keep them apart. Perhaps it was not so insane after all.
